Calahonda

Calahonda is located in the municipality of Mijas, halfway between Fuengirola and Marbella. It is an ideal place to stay when you want to experience the coast both towards Málaga and towards Marbella, and it is only a 25 minute drive from Málaga airport.

Despite the recent major construction boom on the coast, Calahonda has managed to retain its original charm, and over the years the town has been awarded several prizes precisely on that basis. Here we can mention the title as the best Spanish urbanization in 2001-2002 as well as the bank Barclays title as the best residential area on the Costa del Sol.

There are many things to do in Calahonda for both tourists and foreigners living here. The port of Calahonda, El Puerto de Cabopino, is one of the Costa del Sol's most picturesque and remote ports. With room for 170 small and medium-sized boats, the harbor is a popular place for those who want a pleasant walk in the harbor, where there is also a large selection of restaurants.
